October game at Southbroom was something special that a lot of Nomads will never witness again in their Nomadic career, which is a Nomad receiving his 650 game badge. Doug Mile, the legend, achieved this milestone this month and to all who played and were on the 18th green to welcome and applauded Doug, I thank you.
So first month done with the change in the handicap system, all good I hope. (If you are still confused read last month’s Shaggy again). To all the staff at Southbroom thank you for a superb day, pity about the wind. To the divisional winners well done, to our new inductees welcome and to Gary Craig for taking Bob’s prize this month, yep shit happens!
Gents it’s time to reassess our overall attitude towards Prize Giving. We have become far to “slapgat” regarding our dress code, tie not worn properly, no jacket and worst of all still sitting in the prize giving in your playing kit. Not to mention the common curtesy of being respectful and quiet during the process. Unfortunately these things happened with our National Chairman in attendance, poor form chaps, poor form.
Time to buck up and play the part.
Our next game is at Umkomaas and I urge you all to come and support this fine club. Umthunzi Hotel is our sponsor and once again Ryan Ringo has sponsored the sheep on a spit together with craft beers after the game. We are also playing the Konica Minolta Challenge, the final prize is a trip to Ireland, not too shabby.
Till next time keep it on the fairway.
